Location App Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy – BILoc

This Privacy Policy applies to the BILoc mobile application (hereby referred to as the “Application”), created and provided by Byteloom Technologies Private Limited (hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”). The Application is offered as a Free service and is intended for use “AS IS”.
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects certain information when you download, install, and use it. This may include:
1. Automatically Collected Information
Device Internet Protocol (IP) address
Device information (model, OS version)
Time spent on the Application
Pages or screens visited
Crash logs, diagnostics, performance metrics
2. Location Information (Foreground & Background)
The Application collects precise device location, including:
Foreground location (when the app is open)
Background location (when the app is closed or not in use)
All-day continuous location tracking, at regular intervals, iff user enable the tracking on given permission to enable/disable whenever user want.
This data is used strictly for employee monitoring, attendance verification, route analysis, safety checks, and other operational business purposes defined by your organization.
The Application will not track your location unless you grant explicit permission.
3. Physical Activity Information
We request the ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION permission to detect the device’s movement state (walking, running, still, bike mode, car etc.).
This helps improve:
Location accuracy
Activity-based tracking
Route estimation
We do not use physical activity data for health, fitness, or advertising.
4. Notification Information
The Application uses push notifications for:
Alerts
Business communication
Internal updates
Operational reminders
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications. FCM may collect:
Device identifiers (FCM token)
Basic device metadata (needed to route notifications)
Notification content (title, message, recipient ID) may be securely stored on our servers for audit, tracking, and operational needs.
5. Foreground Service Permission
To maintain continuous location tracking—even when the app is minimized—the Application uses Android’s Foreground Service. A persistent notification may be shown to indicate active tracking.
6. Battery Optimization Exemption
To ensure accurate and uninterrupted location tracking, the Application may request permission to ignore battery optimizations.
Location Tracking Disclosure (Google Play Compliant)
BILoc collects location data to:
Track employee routes throughout the day
Verify attendance and field movement
Ensure employee safety
Enable real-time operational monitoring
Provide analytics for your organization
This happens even when the app is closed or not in use, and even when running in the background, but only if you grant background location permission and enable tracking, user can close the tracking any time they want by pressing the day cloase button.
We do not share location data with third-party advertisers.
User Provided Information
For a better experience, the Application may request:
Email
Employee ID or user ID
Organization-specific details
This information is stored securely and used only for account identification and internal operations.
Push Notifications
The Application may send push notifications using:
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
We store:
Notification content
User/employee IDs tied to those notifications
Delivery history
This is solely for:
Internal business communication
Monitoring message delivery
Operational audit trails
Users may disable push notifications via device settings at any time.
Third-Party Access
The Service Provider may share anonymized and aggregated data with external services to improve the Application.
User data may be disclosed:
To comply with the law (e.g., legal request or subpoena)
To protect users’ or others’ safety
To investigate fraud
To trusted service providers (who follow this Privacy Policy and do not use the data independently)
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider retains User Provided Data:
As long as you use the Application
